Mumbai, 27 September 2026: PwC India today announced the appointment of Dr. Rajan Pental as the Financial Services Sector Leader for the firm. Rajan brings with him over 35 years of transformative leadership experience across India's banking and financial services sector. His career reflects a rare breadth of expertise from customer-facing businesses such as retail, rural, and SME banking to enabling functions like technology, analytics, governance, and risk management, giving him a holistic understanding of the financial services landscape.
In this role, Rajan will spearhead demand generation initiatives and collaborate extensively across the practice to accelerate PwC India's growth trajectory and deepen its strategic presence in the financial services market. Most recently, Rajan served as Executive Director and Board Member at YES Bank, where he held a variety of leadership roles over the last decade. He also served as a non-executive director at YES Securities. Prior to YES Bank, he spent more than 14 years at HDFC Bank, where he led several key strategic initiatives.
