Mumbai, July 30, 2026: Kotak Investment Banking (KIB), a leading full-service investment bank in India and a subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, has announced a leadership transition approved by its Board of Directors. The transition is designed to ensure continuity, nurture institutional knowledge and support the firm's next phase of growth.
The Board has appointed Mr. Ramesh Srinivasan as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board for a term of three years, effective August 1, 2026. Ramesh has been with Kotak Group for over three decades and has played a pivotal role in building Kotak Investment Banking into one of India's most respected investment banking franchises.
In his new role as Vice Chairman, he will advise the management on strategic matters, champion client service excellence and further strengthen the firm’s insight on regulatory matters and institutional knowledge. He will also advise the Kotak Group on key institutional relationships.
The Board has appointed Mr. V. Jayasankar and Mr. Sourav Mallik as Managing Directors & Co-CEOs with effect from August 1, 2026. They will jointly lead the investment banking business with equal authority and responsibility. The Co-CEO structure builds on their long-standing partnership and shared commitment to the firm's clients, people and growth strategy.
