Mumbai, July 5, 2025: As part of its centenary celebrations, the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) hosted an engaging fireside chat with best-selling author Mr Amish Tripathi, in New Delhi. Mr Amish Tripathi, one of the renowned Indian authors (with 8 million copies of his books sold), is best known for his The Shiva Trilogy and Ram Chandra Series. The session was moderated by Mr Abhyuday Jindal, President, ICC and Managing Director, Jindal Stainless. The conversation delved into Mr Tripathi’s literary journey, his love for storytelling, the evolution of the publishing industry, the rising use of AI in creative pursuits, and beyond.

Talking about his new gaming project, Amish Tripathi said, "Our upcoming title, The Age of Bhaarat, is not just a game; it’s a digital reinvention of Indian legends and itihas designed to resonate with today’s generation. At a time when gaming is so influential, it’s critical that Indian children and global audiences have access to immersive experiences rooted in our own civilizational wisdom. Indian culture has remained underrepresented in global pop culture, and with India’s rising economic and geopolitical prominence, it’s time our stories lead the way in global storytelling.”

Talking about the rise of AI in creative pursuits, he further added, "AI is already reshaping industries like publishing, with translation and editing being disrupted in real-time. But while AI can replicate learned skills, it cannot dream new dreams. I suspect that it will not be AI defeating human beings. It will be another scenario, where a human with AI will most probably defeat a human without AI."

Reflecting on the session, President, ICC and Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal said, “Storytelling has always had the power to connect across generations, transcending time and culture. Voices like Amish’s not only help us rediscover our roots but also invite us to view them through a fresh lens. As we mark 100 years of ICC, it is a moment to celebrate not just our economic progress but also the ideas, ideals, and imagination that fuel our nation.”

The evening concluded with a networking session over dinner, where guests continued the dialogue on literature, leadership, and India's evolving narrative in the global arena.
