MUMBAI, September 7, 2026: Protectt.ai, a leading AI-native mobile app and AI security company working with leading BFSI organisations, fintechs and other enterprises, today launched its new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Security Solution to mitigate agentic AI risks.

Built to scan before adoption, test before deployment and protect after deployment, the suite addresses an emerging enterprise attack surface as organisations move from generative AI that advises to AI agents that act.

As agentic AI gains autonomous capabilities to query databases, retrieve sensitive data and execute tasks across enterprise systems, the security boundary is shifting beyond the core AI model. While the Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standard interface for connecting AI agents to external tools, every new connection can introduce potential vulnerabilities such as poisoned tool descriptions, prompt injection and data leakage.

“The security conversation around AI has largely focused on the model. But as agentic AI becomes autonomous, it is potentially more exposed to threats when connected to tools and enterprise systems,” said Manish Mimani, Co-founder and CEO of Protectt.ai. “Organisations must take cognizance of these evolving vulnerabilities as threats evolve. Our full-stack MCP Security Solution plugs this gap by providing unified protection across the agent’s lifecycle.”

Mapped to the OWASP MCP Top 10, Protectt.ai’s MCP Security Solution addresses these risks end to end across three stages:

Scan: MCP Scanner analyses MCP server packages, tool definitions and parameter schemas before they are connected to an agent, detecting poisoned descriptions and hidden instructions designed to hijack agent behaviour. It also performs schema integrity analysis and flags typosquatted packages, vulnerable dependencies and other supply-chain risks.

Test: MCP Security Testing actively probes MCP servers to identify exploitable vulnerabilities before deployment, running automated attack simulations for tool squatting, injection and information leakage.

Protect: MCP Proxy acts as an inline security layer between AI agents and external tools. It inspects every tool call and response in real time, detects injected instructions targeting the agent’s reasoning layer, blocks unauthorised tools, redacts personally identifiable information (PII) and credentials, and generates audit logs exportable to SIEM platforms.

The suite is tailored for high-compliance, data-sensitive sectors, including banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI), fintechs and other enterprises.

The new MCP Security Solution will be available for demonstrations at Global Fintech Fest 2026, taking place from 9–11 September 2026 in Mumbai.
