Mr. A. Balasubramanian, MD & CEO, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC:

"The strong inflows into equity mutual funds in September, particularly in small-cap, mid-cap and flexi-cap categories, indicate that investors continue to see opportunities in equities despite market uncertainties. The flows also reflect the importance of different investment approaches, with active equity funds attracting Rs38,306 crore in net inflows and equity ETFs witnessing inflows of Rs9,960 crore. Gold ETFs also saw inflows of Rs4,450 crore, reflecting investor interest in gold as a portfolio diversifier amid market uncertainties. While active management allows fund managers to identify opportunities across market segments, passive strategies offer investors a cost-efficient way to participate in market performance. Ultimately, wealth creation is a long-term journey, and investors should remain focused on disciplined investing, appropriate asset allocation and staying invested in line with their financial goals, risk appetite and investment horizon, rather than chasing short-term trends."

Mr. Navneet Munot, MD & CEO of HDFC AMC:

Volatile phases tend to give way to recovery for those who stayed invested, and record SIP flows show how investors today understand the importance of staying the course during testing times.
