Mumbai, 9 January 2026: Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has today released MF industry’s Monthly Data for December 2025.
Highlights of AMFI Mutual Fund Industry Monthly Data for December 2025:
Mutual Fund Industry’s Net AUM stands at Rs 80,23,378.99 crores for the month of December 2025. Net AUM for the month of November 2025 was Rs 80,80,369.52.
Ø The AAUM for the month of December 2025 is Rs 81,98,944.33 crores.
Ø Mutual Fund Folios are at 26,12,53,836 as of December 2025 with 26.40 lakh net folios being added during the month. Folios as of November 2025 stood at 25,86,14,320.
Ø Retail MF Folios (Equity + Hybrid + Solution Oriented Schemes) are at 20,27,86,198 December for the month of November 2025 as against in 20,15,85,661 November 2025
Ø Retail AUM (Equity + Hybrid + Solution Oriented Schemes) stood at Rs 47,35,764 crores for December 2025
Ø 58th month of positive equity inflows, starting from March 2021
Ø SIP assets stood at Rs 16.63 lakh crore in December 2025, accounting for 20.7% of total mutual fund assets
Ø SIP contribution for December 2025 stood at Rs 31,001.67 crores which is highest ever
Ø The number of Contributing SIP accounts stood at 9,78,99,703 in December 2025
Ø A total of 29 schemes were launched in the month of December 2025, all open-ended and across categories, raising a total of Rs 5,773 crores
SIF data
Ø SIF assets stood at Rs 4,892 crore in December 2025. The category saw inflows of Rs 1,933 crore, with hybrid strategies attracting Rs 1,571 crore
Mr. Venkat Chalasani, Chief Executive, AMFI, explains:
“As of December 2025, the Indian mutual fund industry’s AUM stood at Rs 80.23 lakh crore. The moderation was primarily driven by debt fund outflows for liquidity management and limited market-related valuation changes. SIP monthly contributions have touched an all-time high of over Rs31,000 crore, taking SIP assets to Rs16.63 lakh crore.
On a year-on-year basis, industry AUM grew by 19.9%, reflecting increased participation and continued adoption of mutual funds across investor segments.”
