Mumbai, April 16, 2025: ATM services will soon be available on trains in India. An ATM has been installed in the AC chair car coach of Panchavati Express, running on the Mumbai-Manmad route.
In a first of its kind, the central railway has installed the ATM on the experimental basis. Panchavati Express runs daily from the CSMT, Mumbai to Manmad in a duration of around 4.5 hours. After the trial run with the ATM onboard the train is successfully completed, facility of trains equipped with ATMs will be extended in other trains too. Passengers will be able to withdraw cash in a secured manner while travelling.
