Mumbai, 17 June 2026: Kamyab Grants 2026 has awarded equity-free grants totaling Rs16 lakh to four early-stage entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions in education, accessibility, assistive technology and inclusion. The initiative, led by entrepreneur and investor Ajay Gupta through the Hum Honge Kamyab Foundation, seeks to identify and support founders building scalable solutions to address pressing social challenges.
The recognition and grant disbursement ceremony was held at the R&I Auditorium, IIT Delhi, in the presence of Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Praveen Khandelwal, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), as the Guest of Honour.
The vision behind Kamyab Grants emerged through engagement with innovators, educators and changemakers via the Saksham Yatra Podcast. Building upon these conversations and insights, the Saksham Yatra was launched as an on-ground initiative to connect directly with aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators and students across the country. Flagged off in Delhi by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the journey travelled across multiple cities before culminating in New Delhi, helping identify promising founders and innovative ideas through extensive outreach and engagement.
For the 2026 edition, applications were invited from entrepreneurs across India between 8 March and 25 March 2026. The programme received more than 300 applications from innovators representing 25+ states and 100+ cities. More than 550 founders and startups were engaged through the outreach and evaluation process, while 278 applicants submitted detailed pitch decks for consideration.
The applicant pool reflected both diversity and quality. Women founders accounted for nearly 29 per cent of applications, while more than 50 participating ventures were working in the disability sector. Founders from premier institutions, including IITs and IIMs, were also represented among the applicants.
Following preliminary screening and detailed assessments, shortlisted founders advanced through multiple stages of evaluation, including founder interactions, business reviews and pitching sessions conducted in Lucknow, Jaipur and New Delhi. Final selections were made on the basis of innovation, problem-solving capability, scalability, impact potential and long-term sustainability.
In addition to grant funding, selected entrepreneurs will receive mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and sector experts, visibility support, access to a network of more than 1,300 schools and universities for potential collaborations and pilot programmes, and opportunities to connect with collaborators, supporters and investors who can help strengthen and scale their ventures.
