Mumbai, January 23, 2025: Maharashtra dominated India's pavilion at the World Economic Forum. This enabled Maharashtra to enter into a record MoU of investment worth Rs15,75,000 crores (Rs15.75 Trillion-Tn). A total of 61 bilateral agreements were signed in Davos, including 54 on investment and 7 on strategic cooperation. This will create 15 lakh 98 thousand employment in the state, hoped Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He also thanked the people of Maharashtra for giving the opportunity to participate in the Economy Forum in Davos.

Maharashtra will now become the data center capital. Data is the 'oil' of the new age. Therefore, the growth of this sector will be fast, said Chief Minister Fadnavis. Chief Minister Fadnavis interacted from Davos with journalists through audio-visual system. Industries Minister Uday Samant participated from Mumbai.

The Chief Minister also said that this time in Davos, there has been a change in the attitude towards India, and the change in confidence has been created due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Stating that he participated in the 'Country Dialogue' session along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Fadnavis said that we have given information about the strengths of our respective states, development concepts of different states and opportunities for investment. As one India, the six states presented their role and tried to attract maximum investment in the country.

AI, Google

Many agreements have been signed in Davos to keep Maharashtra at the forefront of artificial intelligence. An agreement has been made with Google. We have emphasized on building an ecosystem by creating Innovation City in Navi Mumbai. Data is the new oil. So, we have been successful in initiating setting up of data centers and attracting investors for them. Maharashtra has taken the first steps in AI. We have already signed an agreement with Google to establish a center of excellence in this regard. Discussions with global CEOs in Davos revealed the huge potential of employment opportunities in this sector.
