The two accused persons arrested in a bribery Case

Mumbai, November 15, 2025: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused persons, the Field Officer and the Branch Manager of UP Gramin Bank, Baraur Branch, Distt- Kanpur Dehat, UP while accepting a bribe of Rs7,000 from the complainant, as per a press release issued by the CBI.
The CBI registered the instant case on 13.11.2025 against the two accused based on a complaint alleging that the above said accused persons have demanded undue advantage of Rs7,000 from the complainant as a reward for sanctioning Kisan Credit Card Tatkal Loan of Rs1,20,000 which was applied by the Brother-in-law of the complainant.
CBI laid a trap on 14.11.2025 and accused Field Officer and Branch Manager of UP Gramin Bank, Baraur Branch, Distt- Kanpur Dehat, UP were caught red-handed while demanding and accepting undue advantage of Rs.7,000 from the complainant, in criminal conspiracy with each other.
Both the accused persons have been put under arrest on 14.11.2025.
Investigation is continuing.
