Mumbai, June 3, 2024: CEC Rajeev Kumar today talked about Exemplary seizure record made during the General Elections 2024- reaching almost Rs 10,000 crores, nearly 3 times the value seized in 2019. We've cracked down heavily on inducements in any form, a trend set since the State Assembly Elections in Nov-Dec 2022. He referred to 4Ms: Identified, Confronted, and Tackled Muscle, Money, Misinformation and MCC Violations - impediments to free, fair, and transparent elections were addressed and responded to. Almost 45% of seizures involve drugs.
CEC Rajiv Kumar along with ECs Gyanesh Kumar and Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu addressed a press conference today.

Commission has leveraged technology to facilitate voters at every step. 620 million searches have been requested on ECI Search Portals on poll day which retrieves information about voters’ polling booths & names on the electoral rolls.
Suvidha Portal:
It facilitated political parties and candidates to function smoothly as far as election campaigning and various related approvals are concerned. #cVigil has played an important role in reducing noise and campaign clutter. Over 4.56 lakh violations received on cVigil during MCC period.
