Mumbai, June 19: The state government has decided to conduct a series of employment fairs and training camps in the next three months as part of the campaign launched by the state government to make the youth of Maharashtra skill-aware. State Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha organized a meeting to review the preparation.

Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha reviewed the various activities of skill department including preparations for taluka level employment, preparations for Namo Maharojgar Mela 2024, admission process for next academic year in Maharashtra State Skill University, Business Education and Training Directorate. The skill development department has been outlined for the next three months and important steps will be taken for skill development and employment of the youth.

Pattern of taluka level employment fairs, total number of fairs to be held in the state, schedule of fairs to be held in next three months, current status of Mahaswayam portal, preliminary preparations for organizing Namo Maharojgar Mela in 2024-25, Maharashtra Skill University admission for academic year 2024-25, courses Important instructions are given regarding planning etc.

Swami Vivekananda International Skills Prabodhi and the current ongoing batch as well as the planning of future admission process are also given instructions. German language training is currently going on in this academy. Swachh Bharat Academy started in Thane on the initiative of Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha will provide skill training in various subjects. Students who complete their training here will get guaranteed job and a monthly salary of 18000 to 35000. The first batch here has been completed and now the students here are also getting job opportunities through Bharat Vikas Group. Minister Lodha has also instructed to make the academy operational in five revenue departments.

Arya Chanakya Skill Development Centers will be set up in 1000 colleges in the next three months, so that along with education, skill development will also be given priority. Also, for skill development in rural areas, besides 511 Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Centers, new centers will be established in 1000 Gram Panchayat areas. Cabinet Minister Lodha himself is trying to resolve the issues regarding approval of Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Centers in the state by the National Skill Development Board. He has given some important instructions to the department as there are strict criteria for getting recognition of these skill development centres.

Apart from this, India's largest startup convention will be held in Mumbai in the month of August. Startups from across India will be invited to this event. Minister Lodha also got information about the preparations in this regard. Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha got the information about the preparation of skilled employment meeting to be held on the second of July. Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education and Training, reviewed the current status regarding the formation of steering committee. Along with this, Minister Lodha has instructed that Yoga Day program should be organized in all district level and taluka level institutions on the occasion of International Yoga Day under this skill employment department. Around two lakh students of all ITIs will participate in the Yoga Day in this programme.
